DKE Showcases E-Paper Solutions at CEATEC JAPAN 2026, Empowering Sustainable Green Smart Display across Multiple Scenarios

From October 13 to 16, CEATEC JAPAN 2026, Asia’s premier electronics and technology exhibition, grandly opened at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. As a global leader in smart IoT e-paper display solutions, DKE made its appearance at Booth 7H434, presenting the latest technological breakthroughs and future application prospects of e-paper technology to worldwide audiences.

Organized by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, CEATEC JAPAN is formed by the merger of two renowned Japanese expos-Japan Electronics Show and COM JAPAN. It has grown into a world-class exhibition at the forefront of the electronics industry across Asia and beyond. The event gathers top-tier global electronics enterprises to unveil new technologies, products, systems and software covering electronic components and equipment, enabling attendees to experience cutting-edge technological advances and keep abreast of key industry focuses.

Driven by smart city initiatives and the pursuit of green low-carbon development, global market demand for low-power, eco-friendly and easy-to-maintain display solutions keeps rising. DKE has long-term expertise in the e-paper display sector. Its products are widely deployed in diverse scenarios including smart retail, smart office, smart education, smart logistics, smart transportation and e-readers, delivering professional e-aper display products and one-stop solutions for customers worldwide. At this exhibition, DKE engaged in in-depth exchanges with global partners to further accelerate the implementation of e-paper within smart IoT use cases.

Highlighted at the booth was the company’s focus on large-format color e-paper applications. Among exhibits, the 55-inch E Ink Marquee outdoor color e-paper display breaks previous physical limitations for e-paper under outdoor conditions. Adopting an all-new four-color particle system, it delivers vivid, saturated color reproduction to meet advertisers’ precise brand-color requirements. It supports wide operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to 65°C, maintaining stable performance in frigid cold or scorching summer outdoor environments without high-temperature blackout or low-latency response delays.

In terms of heat dissipation and energy consumption — critical factors for outdoor displays — the E Ink Marquee achieves outstanding energy efficiency and thermal performance. Unlike conventional LCD panels, it operates without additional cooling systems, substantially cutting system costs while enabling a thinner and lighter form factor. Boasting a sunlight-readable contrast ratio of 22:1, it delivers clear viewing with minimal reflection. With a screen refresh time of roughly 5-7 seconds, it is well-suited for rotating static advertising and information signage and supports seamless image switching, delivering a cost-effective display alternative for outdoor digital advertising.

Beyond the 55-inch E Ink Marquee, DKE demonstrated two implementation modes for the 31.5-inch large-size color e-paper display: dual-panel splicing and all-in-one units. The dual-panel splicing mode combines two display panels to create enlarged custom-sized canvases for diverse spatial and scenario requirements. The all-in-one version allows fast deployment, installation and maintenance for commercial displays, information signage and smart spaces. Complementing each other, the two modes enhance product adaptability across operating environments and provide customers with flexible, high-efficiency large-format color e-paper options.

As education and reading undergo accelerated digital transformation, e-paper solutions serve as an ideal alternative to traditional paper media for resource conservation. At the show, DKE set up a dedicated eBOOK zone featuring e-paper reader modules and multiple finished e-reader terminals co-developed with partners in various sizes and product tiers. Modules help customers evaluate core display performance and integration paths, while finished terminals offer hands-on experience of mature solutions for visitors. Attendees could experience real-world e-paper performance for reading and education scenarios on-site.

E-paper applications extend well beyond reading and education and support digital upgrading across industries. Centered on smart IoT scenarios, DKE exhibited a comprehensive portfolio of e-paper-powered end-user products.

For smart offices: E6 color badges, 3.97-inch ultra-thin four-color badges, e-paper table nameplates and door plates deliver efficient, eco-friendly information display for workspaces. For warehousing and retail: warehouse tags and electronic shelf labels simplify digital management and reduce ongoing maintenance expenses. For home-use scenarios: multi-size e-paper photo frames ranging from 7.3-inch to 20.7-inch, e-paper photo stands and e-paper thermostats blend display technology with everyday living, balancing practicality and aesthetic comfort.

CEATEC JAPAN 2026 ran through October 16. DKE welcomed face-to-face discussions at Booth 7H434 to explore further possibilities for e-paper technology. Going forward, DKE will continue to deepen its presence in the e-paper industry and collaborate with global partners to realize wider adoption of e-paper in smart IoT scenarios and unlock more opportunities enabled by green display technology.
