Two Decades of Focus, Full-Scenario Coverage: DKE Showcases the Unlimited Potential of E-Paper Display Technology at Embedded World 2026

A new spring journey begins as displays connect the world. From March 10–12, 2026, the global embedded systems event Embedded World was grandly held in Nuremberg, Germany. Celebrating its 21st anniversary, DKE presented its full range of e-paper display technologies and innovative application solutions at Hall 1, Stand 389. Through comprehensive and multi-layered demonstrations, DKE highlighted its deep expertise and technological advancements in the field of e-paper displays, showcasing the vast possibilities of this technology.

As the first overseas exhibition for DKE in 2026, the event not only showcased the company’s achievements from more than two decades of technological development and product innovation, but also served as an important opportunity for DKE to connect with the global market and promote industry collaboration and upgrading. It conveyed the company’s vision of building an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial ecosystem through technological innovation.

In recent years, e-paper display technology has been rapidly evolving beyond the limitations of small-size black-and-white displays, expanding toward larger sizes, full color, flexible formats, and diversified application scenarios. At the exhibition, DKE presented its concept of “Technology Leadership, Empowering Every Scenario”, creating a multidimensional exhibition area that showcased continuous technological advancements and practical application solutions. Each product iteration and scenario adaptation allowed visitors to clearly experience the evolution of e-paper technology—from functionality to enhanced user experience, and from single-purpose displays to diversified applications.

During the exhibition, DKE demonstrated a coordinated display lineup covering 10-inch to 31-inch color e-paper displays and a 42-inch black-and-white e-paper display, highlighting improvements in color saturation, refresh speed, and operational stability. With a diverse size portfolio and flexible product forms, DKE is able to meet the varied needs of different industries in terms of display area, energy efficiency, and visual performance, providing a green, reliable, and efficient alternative to traditional display technologies.

One of the highlights at the booth was the Prism 3S modular decorative wall. This product features dynamic color-changing e-paper technology, enabling periodic image or color transitions with extremely low power consumption. With its modular design, it can be flexibly assembled to adapt to different spatial structures.

Whether used as an artistic partition in commercial spaces, a brand background wall in corporate lobbies, or a smart architectural surface, Prism 3S breaks the boundaries of traditional decoration. It provides a new visual solution for architectural design, commercial environments, and high-end venues, achieving a perfect combination of technology, aesthetics, energy efficiency, and practicality.

In the e-paper module display area, DKE presented a comprehensive lineup including black-and-white, four-color, full-color, segmented, and flexible display modules, demonstrating the company’s complete technological layout in core e-paper solutions. As the backbone of e-paper products, DKE’s modules feature stable performance, ultra-low power consumption, and high adaptability, making them suitable for a wide range of terminal applications.

From eye-friendly reading devices to electronic shelf labels, logistics tags, and medical signage that require dynamic color and long battery life, DKE offers mature and reliable solutions for diverse industry needs.

During the exhibition, DKE also showcased its newly announced DKE FLEX product series. As the world’s first e-paper display built using organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) technology on a plastic substrate, DKE FLEX can drive both monochrome and color E Ink panels. It combines exceptional flexibility and durability, supporting small-radius bending and dynamic bending, and can be widely applied in products ranging from smart cards and wearable devices to foldable e-readers.

This breakthrough technology was awarded the Best Component Award of the International Information Display Society in 2025, opening new possibilities for expanding the applications of e-paper technology.

Display technologies realize their true value only when integrated into real-world applications. At this exhibition, DKE created themed exhibition zones to systematically showcase the application of e-paper technology across multiple vertical industries, allowing “green display” technology to become part of everyday life.

In the smart office scenario, e-paper badges were displayed alongside 11.6-inch meeting room signage, enabling quick personnel identification and dynamic meeting room scheduling. With advantages such as low power consumption, ease of operation, and visual clarity, these solutions help optimize office workflows and support the creation of efficient, convenient, and low-carbon workplaces.

The e-paper art frame area featured multiple sizes of color displays. Leveraging the zero-power consumption of static images, these products provide an energy-efficient and high-quality solution for digital artwork presentation and personalized interior decoration, bringing together technology and aesthetics while adding warmth to both home and commercial environments.

In the fields of smart transportation and public information display, DKE showcased 28-inch and 42-inch e-paper transportation signage capable of displaying real-time arrival information and route guidance. Even under strong sunlight, the content remains clearly visible while maintaining extremely low power consumption, meeting the long-term needs of green and intelligent urban infrastructure.

The booth’s coffee area also featured 13-inch and 31-inch color e-paper menu boards, allowing visitors to experience the flexibility of e-paper displays in commercial environments. In the consumer electronics area, various devices equipped with e-paper displays—such as trackers, desktop calendars, and electronic notes—demonstrated how the technology is becoming increasingly integrated into daily life, delivering eye-friendly, energy-efficient, and personalized interactive experiences.
