1.What is the difference between an ink display and an LCD display?
EInk displays reflect the ambient light in the room, just like a printed page,
while LCD displays use a strong backlight and are modulated by liquid crystals.
Because EInk displays work like a printed page, they are not as dazzling as LCD screens.
2.How much power do EInk Matrix Displays consume?
EInk matrix displays are bistable. This means they only consume power when the display is updated.
No power is required to maintain the image after the update.
The amount of power required for the update process depends on the size of the display, but is approximately microwatts.
3.What hardware definition is used to light my ePaper display?
You need to design a Boost circuit according to our specification to provide VGH
and other voltages to the e-paper display, and then the software design by the microcontroller can light up the e-paper screen.
4.What is the data interface of E-paper display?
AIO driver IC products are all SPI interface, except for 7.5-inch 8159 driver IC, other sizes have the same definition of 24PIN.
5.What is the refresh time for e-paper?
For better display effect for customers
Black & White BN Series:3-4S(Above 20℃C)
Black & White Low Temperature BS Series:30-50s(-25°C)
Black and White Red RW Series:18-20s(20-30°C)
Black & White Yellow YN Series:25-30s(20-30°C)
6.Why is there a flickering effect when the e-paper is refreshed?
This is the essence of E-ink display, removing the image of the front screen by the black and white flickering effect.
7.What is the function of the Demo Board?
Our demo board is just for customers to evaluate the E-paper display.
It is divided into main board and BOOST driver board, USB power supply, customers can upload images through the host computer.
There are four buttons to display three images and a whole white image.
